Christopher J. Kopley—P.G., L.E.P. #162, Principal and Owner

Christopher J. Kopley is the sole principal and owner of the firm. Mr. Kopley, ia a Licensed Environmental Professional in the State of Connecticut and a licensed geologist in the states of Delaware and Pennsylvania. He regularly manages projects subject to SARA, RCRA, ISRA and "Superlien" regulations, and works daily with CTDEP and USEPA personnel. In his 22 years of professional experience, he has worked on projects located in Florida, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Minnesota, Tennessee and Kentucky.

Mr. Kopley's hydrogeological experience includes performing groundwater supply investigations using both remote and direct field techniques; pump test design and analysis, and drilling supervision; design, construction, and development of production wells and well fields; and formulation and administration of groundwater monitoring programs.

His experience with groundwater contamination includes Level B and C hazardous waste site investigations; Site Safety Officer and Project Manager for various CERCLA studies; execution of various leaking underground storage tank studies; soil and water sampling according to EPA and local standard methodologies; design, construction, and installation of recovery and interceptor well systems; coordination of soil gas surveys; and job coordination between both state and federal authorities

Previously, Mr. Kopley was an owner and regional office manager at AKRF, Inc. and Environmental Sciences Services in Norwalk, CT where he was responsible for hydrogeological projects and office administration. Prior to ESS, he was senior project manager for GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., in Trumbul, CT, where he led the firms' hydrogeological surveys. He received his BS in Geology at Tufts University and performed field work with the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
